Our chess club is a small club and rather informal. Children can come in and play at any time. Although we do have sheets for recording who has won a game, it is not a highly competitive club. We put the emphasis on helping others learn, rather than on competing.
Once a week we have a time set aside for chess club and offer instruction for those who need it. This is open to children from 5-12 years old, whether they know anything about playing chess or not. We also teach a variety of pre-chess games for those who are just learning.
